This 2-day course has been developed by WorkSafe Victoria and assists participants meet the “competency” requirement of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013. The course covers the obligations of employers and workers as well as an overview of the compensation scheme and the functions of the Authority and self-insurers under the Act.
Participants will be provided the information and skills to support their employer facilitate the successful RTW of injured workers, including:
- How to coordinate the RTW of an injured employee and how to develop, implement and monitor effective RTW plans;
- The importance of RTW goals and measuring the effectiveness of RTW plans;
- How to communicate effectively with the injured worker, their treating health practitioner and others involved in the RTW process
Who should attend?
RTW Coordinators nominated and appointed for the purpose of meeting the employer’s obligations under the Act.
